Day Thirty/One: One Thing You’re Excited For, Talk About May——-
MAY IS OVER!!! Well, after Tuesday it is. Then begins the June of the rest of my life.
I’m excited for the future, as general, cliche, and overused as that sounds. Lolz. I’m excited for first love, and even more excited for heartbreak. I’m excited for travel. Excited to see Anasu-chan again next Autumn. Excited to start a new job for the summer even though I’m sad I have to leave my current one. I am excited to take my GREs early next year to cross another “must do” off my list. I’m excited to take the Foreign Service Exam and probably fail. I’m excited to apply for grad schools, apply for jobs, apply for teaching abroads. I’m excited for acceptance letters as well as “We’re sorry to inform you letters.” I’m excited for the joy of knowing what I’m doing with my life for the next few months, and the fear of not knowing what’s happening after that.
I’m excited for the freedom that I gain as each day goes by. I’m excited that I will stand up and do as I wish and be as I see fit. And I’m excited, although a little scared, to make decisions and face the consequences.
I’m excited, excited, excited. I might succeed. I might find myself happier than I ever thought I could never be. Or, I might fail. I might find myself wallowing for months in disappointment and self pity. But then the moment shall pass, and I will pick myself up and start again. I’m excited to see what life will teach me next, where it will take me next, and with whom I will cry over or celebrate my future disappointments and successes with next.
I’m also excited that this terribly unoriginal Blog Challenge is over. And I’m excited that I might start another one, although this time one more intriguing and unique. Woo hoo!
